The Lamm's, the owners of Lamm Media Group, purchased the 9000 watt station, which went on the air November 1, 2007. The station is the most powerful AM station in Johnston County, and is located at 1090 AM on the radio dial. The studio is located at 4001 US 301 South. The tower site is located between Smithfield and Clayton.
